About Us -

My story behind DKolo3DPrintz.

Since 2013, I, (Daniel), have been pioneering 3D Printing and designing all my own products, transforming ideas into tangible products that improve everyday life.

I launched my official Etsy page in 2015 and decided to break through the boundaries of turning simple ideas into real life items. The ability to craft these items in such a way, where a quality item can be reliably replicated and depended on. Over and over with consistent results. Compared to today...even the software was horribly archaic, and yet, I was on a path to learn and grow.

I pushed on. I taught myself through trial and error. I learned the ins and outs, and the importance that troubleshooting a printer in the early days, which literally meant tearing the entire thing apart and re-building components. There were no error logs for these things. GT2 belts? Ha.  We used nylon string. Literally fishing line, wrapped around sandpaper. It was horrible, but it worked. Stepper motors? Voltage sensor regulators? Everything broke, or a fix didn't yet exist. Not just once or twice either, but... a lot. And yet... it was awesome. I got to learn during these hobby stages, and it didn't deter me.

CAD Designing? TinkerCAD... Google Sketchup... Slicer software? RepetierHost, Cura, Prusa/Creality/Elegoo/SnapMaker/Bambu Slicer (they're all cuts of the same thread nowadays). They all paved the way. I now use Fusion360 for modeling, and primarily OrcaSlicer for my non-Bambu printers.

I came out and away from the old, tiring, Creality Ender3 and Ender5+ era, and re-built my shop back in 2024 to more directly align with what I wanted my business to encompass. A jump in tech allowed me to take my next step forward, and I'm now sitting on a fleet of 7+ printers that I never thought I'd be lucky enough to own. Making other peoples lives' easier, and giving me a purpose to continue to do what I love.

For me, additive manufacturing via FDM printing has been a true passion that originally started as a hobby. I didn't go to school for any of this. It's just become a passion. I've seen companies come and go (PrintrBot, Solidoodle), and others pave the way (Creality, Bambu, Prusa, Elegoo, BiQu) that give those of us who have invested the time, a path to longevity that the best is still yet to come. Toolchangers (SnapMaker and Prusa) and the Bambu Vortek are the tip of the iceberg.

These companies have continued to push and evolve, they're the epitome of my motto. Keep on bringing your ideas to life.

If you can think it, we can build it. Together.

Thank you.
